BARRIER CABLE SYSTEM
E J Blanck Company supplies and installs complete turnkey barrier cable systems for parking structures. We have over 35 years of combined experience installing and repairing cable systems and our technicians are PTI certified.
A barrier cable system can include several types of hardware, such as end anchors, intermediate anchors, intermediate supports, steel angles and posts. All of which E J Blanck Company can supply and install.
BARRIER CABLE STRAND
The barrier cable strand typically used on parking structures is a 1/2" galvanized coated seven wire steel strand, using galvanized or zinc coated anchors. The strand is placed 4" on center and 42" in height per building code requirements.
Not only is the barrier cable system more cost effective then concrete walls, but they are more visually appealing and help eliminate blind spots that other barriers may have.

GALVANIZED BARREL ANCHOR
There are several types of anchors that can be used at the ends of the barrier cable strand. The barrier cable strand typically sleeves through the end column and is terminated and hidden using an Embedded Galvanized Barrel Anchor as illustrated in this picture.
GRAB-IT ANCHOR
Grab-it Anchors as shown in this picture can be used to terminate cables at ends. These anchors are typically used when an end column is not accessible from the other side.
BARRIER CABLE SLEEVED THRU INTERMEDIATE ANGLE
In this picture the architect's design was to put in an Intermediate Angle as an alternate to sleeving the cables thru the columns.
